So why do I love this so much?!...

Being a Melbourne-based wedding photographer, I have the honour of capturing some of life's most exquisite and moving moments. It's a wonderful feeling to be able to record those moments and have them forever so that couples can treasure them. But what really amazes people about the wedding industry? Here are a few of the reasons I believe it to be so unique.

Weddings are, first and foremost, about love. It honours the union of two people who have decided to share a lifetime of love and partnership. Being able to see that love directly as a wedding photographer is an absolute honour. Every moment is genuinely emotional and joyful, from the way a couple looks at one other during the ceremony to the way they hold hands during their first dance.

Marriage is a very intimate event. It is my responsibility as a photographer to convey the individuality of each couple's story and vision for their wedding day in my photographs. Every wedding, whether it is a small, private occasion or a large event with hundreds of guests, is unique and significant in some manner.

The innovation in the wedding industry is something else I adore. Every element of a wedding can be customised to the couple's taste and personality, from the flowers and decorations to the clothes and music. I get to work with couples as a photographer to produce photos that express that creativity and uniqueness, whether it is through original positions or dramatic lighting.

The wedding industry is all about community, to sum up. As suppliers, we all collaborate to give the couple and their guests a seamless and amazing experience. We all have a part to play in the success of the day, from the wedding coordinator to the florist to the caterer. It's incredible to be a part of that community and work with other gifted experts who are as devoted to their trade as I am.



In conclusion, there are numerous reasons why the wedding market is extremely fantastic. It's an industry that makes me happy and grateful, from the love and emotion to the creativity and community. I consider myself tremendously happy to be a part of it and to be able to record such precious moments for my customers as a Melbourne-based wedding photographer.
